God So Loved the World/ God loves me pockets

Thinking about supplementary materials for God so loved the world/ God loves me etc. or any from the love themed stories/ passages in the Bible, I've made these heart pockets. They could be used to colour match people to (I may even make a set to coordinate to the Jesus loves the little children song, we currently have pictures of children dressed in those colours to accompany the song), to put little hearts inside, crosses, matching coloured sheep etc. 

Mr Noah Built an Ark

Someone just reminded me on Facebook  Group a song we used to sing A LOT, so found the picture cards to go with it and thought I'd share. The cards were created to create structure and consistency (I have several of them and will post them) for a little one with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The song is sung to tune of Old MacDonald and the cards are used as follows. 

The above card is on board/ floor (add velcro to the squares if on board) children take it in turns to choose two matching animals and place on the boat (or one choses one animal and another child finds the pair) we then sang the verse and put the animals in a box until we'd finished the song.

Dependent on the needs of your group you may want to use soft toys in addition to or instead.

Row Row Row Your Boat Song Cards

That classic children's song/rhyme Row Row Row Your Boat, has a few verses added by creative persons along the way no doubt but most people stick to merrily rowing and screaming at crocs. So I've collected them together  including some lovely Christian verses that would most defiantly complement a few Bible stories (including Paul at Sea)

 I'm always on the lookout for useful resources for church, particularly those that include all and ensure church is seen as a place that promotes inclusion and making the gospel accessible to all. The use of signing in one such way. These examples are a sign system designed for individuals with special needs or disabilities.  There some songs and prayers. I think it's important that such things become more mainstream.

God sends Snow

So here is the link between snow and the Bible, I did not choose these verses they came from the Tiddlyiwinks Yellow Book.

We sang four rhymes, relating to snow. Two preschool favourites and two slightly adapted from other songs.

Five little Snowmen, these little snowmen are simply made with kids socks.

I hadn't thought of singing this song but one of the children suggested it!

Sang to the tune of "Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear..."

I got most of the words for this song from Out of the Ark Music, adapted to fit the themes of the session. I planned to sing it to their tune but instead sang it to an almost "wheels on the bus" tune.

If I were a Butterfly

This is one of my favourite songs, and always a good standby song...

I like to make visuals for pre readers to assist singing.

This book has gone down very well at all times, and the additional matching elements.

Jesus You're my Superhero

In relation to the David and Goliath story, we needed a couple of songs to teach the children that related. So with children's interest in superhero's (soooo many t-shirts with logos on) we decided "Jesus you're my Superhero" was a good option and allowed us to discuss that Jesus was better than all of them!!! He is powerful and wants to help us just like he did David.

So second use for the shower curtain, I drew pictures to depict each sentence in the song, using permanent markers. We pointed to this as we said the sentence in english and one person did the corresponding action, then it was translated into Romanian.
Then we sang with actions! A few children singing with actions in, "My best friend"
